Bale sppeds past Barcelona with the trophy
That was quite a show.. what else would you expect for the El Classico anyway. Barcelona came into this game expecting it to be a season saver as they've already been knocked out from the Champions League by Atletico Madrid, and the same team is getting a bit of a distance in the league too.

On the other side there was Real Madrid without Cristiano Ronaldo to help them out as he treats his injury. But never mind that, said Gareth Bale, as he took the ball at a 1:1 score and ran across the whole field to score a winning goal and secure a trophy for Real Madrid. A goal which might be as remembered as that one by Maradona when he did something similar.

Koke leaves Barcelona in the ground

Koke rolls over Barcelona

Koke was the man of the hour last night. In a very exciting rematch with Barcelona, Atletico Madrid managed to win with a single goal by Koke which was enough for them to advance to the semifinals. There were good chances on both sides, but Atletico Madrid certainly showed more initiative and what we saw from Barcelona was not what we expect to see from them.

This marks Atletico's first semifinal of a european cup in 40 years and it's a well deserved one. For Barcelona, there's a chance to get revenge in the last match of the season when these two will play again, and possibly even decide who gets La liga trophy.

Messi kicks some Real Madrid balls

Messi playing with Diego Lopez's mind
Well.. that was quite a match. A lot of fighting, both metaphorically and literally. In the end, it all ended with three penalty kicks and a red card for Real Madrid.

As for the score... well, Messi was the man of the hour. He's now the best scorer in El Classico with a hat trick. Two of those three were from penalty kicks, where he outsmarted Diego Lopez with a finesse we always expect from him.

Getting ready for El Classico

Getting ready for another duel
What's the biggest duel in the football world? Well, it would be hard to determine, some say it's River Plate VS Boca Juniors, others would say it's Glasgow Rangers VS Celtic, some will argue it's Manchester United VS Liverpool.. there's no way to really determine, but we can sure say some are more important than others.

And Barcelona VS Real Madrid is one of those, each time it's played it's more than football. To many in Catalonia it's actually a sort of revolutionary fight. Whenever Barca wins, they see it as Catalonia's victory against Spain. That just shows how far something like football can go.. as for me, I just want to see a good game so let's get ready.

Messi dumps Manchester City

Manchester City seems to have the same problems Chelsea had when they were first bought by Abramovich. They struggled so hard to get Champions League title, invested hundreds of millions of euros, but there were simply no results for the first few seasons.

Similar thing is happening with Manchester City. While they are quite able to put up a good fight in England, as soon as they go in Europe they lose it. Last two seasons they couldn't even go past the group stage which was embarrassing to say the least. This year they finally did it, but only to face Barcelona. Well.. bad luck I guess.

After two games the totals score was 4 for Barcelona and 1 for Manchester City, with Dani Alves and Messi both scoring two goals to knock the citizens out.
